Advocacy Division Director
Champion survivor support. Strengthen systems. Lead with heart and strategy.
About the Role
We are looking for a mission-driven Advocacy Division Director to lead CAPSA's core survivor services-including Social Services, Housing, and Emergency Shelter. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring programs meet the highest standards of trauma-informed care, align with our mission, and are equipped to grow in both depth and reach.
As the Advocacy Division Director, you will partner closely with the Chief Program Officer to align advocacy work with CAPSA's strategic vision, guide and strategize alongside department leaders, improving internal systems, and elevating collaborative community partnerships. This role is ideal for a systems thinker with a deep understanding of survivor-centered practices and a passion for strengthening both people and programs.
As a newly created role, this position is central to supporting CAPSA's ongoing growth and strengthening our capacity to deliver on our mission.
What You'll Do
- Supervise the Social Services Director in enhancing case management practices, crisis intervention, and long-term advocacy planning.
- Supervise the Housing and Facilities Director in strengthening housing program models, expanding community partnerships, and improving housing access for survivors.
- Supervise the Emergency Shelter Director in maintaining a safe, trauma-informed residential environment, while guiding systems improvements and staff development.
- Align advocacy services with CAPSA's mission and organizational strategy in partnership with the Chief Program Officer.
- Guide and support impactful leadership within the division to foster professional growth and service consistency.
- Oversee program goals, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with all funder and licensing requirements.
- Coordinate audits and prepare data-driven reports that demonstrate impact and drive operational decisions.
- Develop strategies for clear communication and collaboration across advocacy teams and other CAPSA divisions.
- Represent CAPSA in community partnerships and contribute to regional conversations on survivor support.
- Improve and highlight program successes to support fundraising, awareness, and advocacy.
What You'll Bring
You bring at least three years of leadership experience-ideally in advocacy or residential services-and a master's degree in a related field, equipping you to oversee and support professional services. You understand the complexity of survivor support work and know how to guide teams through change, growth, and collaboration. Whether strengthening internal systems or building partnerships in the community, you lead with a commitment to impact and care.
You'll Excel in This Role If You Are:
- A values-based leader who brings both accountability and compassion to your work.
- Skilled at guiding teams, improving processes, and building cohesion across departments.
- Knowledgeable about trauma-informed care and committed to survivor-centered service delivery.
- Strong in data analysis and outcome measurement, using information to drive improvements.
- Strategic in programming development by including and incorporating key stakeholders in partnerships.
- Energized by collaboration-with staff, community partners, and funders alike.
Join Us
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of survivor advocacy at a time of meaningful growth. At CAPSA, you'll join a team of dedicated leaders working to expand access, improve systems, and build a world where all individuals can thrive in safety and dignity. Your leadership can make that vision a reality.
