We are looking for a Development Director to join our passionate team and lead our fundraising efforts to the next level.
Position Overview
As CAPSA's Development Director, you will play a key leadership role in strengthening our fundraising capacity and deepening relationships with donors, businesses, and civic partners. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this position leads a dynamic development team and collaborates across the organization to create meaningful engagement opportunities that fuel CAPSA's mission.
This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven fundraising professional to help shape long-term giving strategies, grow community support, and steward donors in a mission-aligned and impactful way.
What You'll Do
- Cultivate and grow strong relationships with individual donors, businesses, and key community partners.
- Make strategic fundraising asks and oversee donor engagement systems that ensure timely, personalized outreach and stewardship.
- Lead development operations including donor tracking, reporting, and system improvements.
- Supervise the Community Engagement Coordinator and collaborate with the Marketing and Development Specialist to align engagement efforts with fundraising goals.
- Represent CAPSA at community events, donor meetings, and city/county councils to elevate awareness and support.
- Partner with CAPSA leadership to prepare for high-value donor meetings and civic presentations.
You're a Great Fit If You...
- Have 3+ years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience, with a proven ability to build and maintain donor relationships.
- Are an excellent communicator who is confident making direct fundraising asks and engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Have leadership experience and thrive in a collaborative, goal-oriented team environment.
- Are results-driven, organized, and comfortable with donor databases (Virtuous or similar CRM tools).
- Are inspired by CAPSA's mission and ready to be a champion for survivors in our community.
