Are you passionate about helping others and looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? Join CAPSA as a Crisis Line Coordinator/Receptionist, where you will play a critical role in supporting individuals during their most vulnerable moments. CAPSA is dedicated to providing compassionate care to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and we need a friendly, organized individual to be the first point of contact for those seeking help.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere: Be the friendly, approachable presence that sets the tone for everyone who walks through CAPSA's doors, ensuring visitors feel supported, safe, and respected.
- Provide Compassionate Support on Crisis Calls: Offer calm, empathetic assistance to callers, connecting them with the right resources and team members. Your ability to listen and provide reassurance can make a vital difference in someone's moment of need.
- Enhance Front Desk Operations: Take pride in maintaining an organized and efficient reception area, supporting CAPSA's teams by coordinating schedules, preparing files, and handling essential administrative tasks.
- Promote a Safe and Inviting Space: Help keep CAPSA's environment safe and welcoming by following security protocols and ensuring shared spaces are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
- Strengthen Communication with Clients: Collaborate with clinical and casework teams to send reminders, make follow-up calls, and document client interactions, ensuring clients feel connected and supported throughout their journey.
- Encourage Community Engagement: Welcome donors and assist with processing contributions, fostering a positive experience that encourages continued support for CAPSA's mission.
Our Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated professional who thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure. Experience in crisis intervention or customer service is a plus, but more importantly, you should have a genuine desire to help others and be flexible with your schedule. You'll work about 15 hours weekly with consistent shifts, plus some availability for additional hours when needed.
At CAPSA, we believe in creating an environment where individuals are treated with respect and compassion. If you share our vision of empowering survivors and ending domestic violence, we encourage you to apply and join our team in making a lasting impact.
